All public transport is free in Brussels on 18 Sep.

On Sunday 18 September 2022, the entire territory of the Brussels-Capital Region (the 19 Brussels municipalities, including the City of Brussels) is closed to car traffic, from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.


All public transport including metros, buses and trams will be free during the day.

Only emergency services, public utility vehicles and people in possession of a derogation (pass) will be able to circulate in the zones prohibited to car traffic. In addition, bicycles with electrical assistance are allowed to circulate.


You can enjoy whole city on bicycle during the day.


The Brussels Ring will be open to traffic. Only the exits to access the territory of the Region will be closed.
