Brussels attacks: a first hearing this Monday in Belgium
The preliminary hearing of the trial of the Brussels attacks takes place on Monday, today, at the former NATO site. The objective is going to be establishing the list of witnesses. Defense lawyers will also challenge the "cages of shame".
The March 2016 Brussels terrorist attacks were coordinated in Brussels, Belgium, carried out by the ISIS, on 22 March 2016. Three coordinated suicide bombings occurred: two at Brussels Airport in Zaventem, and one at Maalbeek metro station on the Brussels metro. In total, 32 civilians and three perpetrators were killed, and more than 300 people were injured. Another bomb was found during a search of the airport.
