Climate march in Brussels disrupted traffic and public transport on Sunday

Thousands of people gathered on Sunday afternoon in front of Brussels-North station, around 2 p.m., for a march against global warming.

The Climate Coalition, that brings together nearly a hundred environmental organizations, trade unions and citizen movements, was expecting thousands of demonstrators this Sunday in Brussels to demand strong measures against global warming and its already palpable consequences. The fight against the energy and agricultural crises will occupy a prominent place in the demands.

Several thousand demonstrators gathered at 1:00 p.m. at the Gare du Nord in Brussels, the starting point of the march which has been crossing the capital since 2:00 p.m. The procession joins the Parc du Cinquantenaire, where the end of the demonstration is scheduled for around 5:00 p.m.
