Dutch police found drugs in the truck carrying earthquake aid to Turkey
According to the local press, the English-language NL Times reported that the truck was found on the A4 highway from Amsterdam to the port area of Rotterdam on Thursday.
In the statement of the police, it was stated that they received a reliable report about a truck parked on the side of the highway at around 3 am on Thursday.
Police stated that the truck containing drugs was part of a convoy of six trucks. It was stated that five other trucks were also under investigation by the police.
While it was stated that no one was taken into custody regarding the issue, the police did not make a statement as to who received the report.
The police did not share any information about the amount of drugs found in the truck.
In the statement, it was stated that the aid items in the truck will be returned to the aid organizations as soon as the investigation is completed.
