According to the news in The Libya Ubdate, Egyptian Foreign Minister Samih Shukri, speaking to Al Arabaya television, touched upon the normalization process talks between Turkey and Egypt. Turkey-Egypt Relations
In 2013, Turkey-Egypt relations became tense and mutual ambassadors were withdrawn. Turkey-Egypt relations have continued at the level of charge d'affaires since this date. The suspension of some television channels run by people affiliated with the Ikhwan (Muslim Brotherhood) in Turkey opened the door to the normalization process between the two countries.
In May 2021, two rounds of exploratory talks were held between the two countries in Egypt and Turkey at the level of deputy foreign ministers to discuss the necessary steps to normalize relations at the bilateral level and in the regional context.
