Health scandal in Belgium
A 23-year-old Mauritanian woman, who was taken to the UZ Jette Hospital in Brussels, Belgium, when she was about to give birth, was turned away.
The hospital's justification was that the woman did not have health insurance or a refugee record. The hospital demanded two thousand euros for the delivery. The woman who could not pay the money gave birth in another hospital. The officer who did not accept the woman to the hospital after the reaction was suspended.
