Jihadists attack luxury hotel in Somalia: At least four dead, dozens injured
At least four people were killed and dozens injured in an attack by jihadists on a hotel in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia.
Security forces are trying to seize the hotel, which was raided on Sunday evening.
Witnesses said that there were multiple explosions and heavy machine-gun fire from the Villa Rose hotel near the presidential palace.
Al-Shabaab, a branch of al-Qaeda, claimed responsibility for the attack.
Villa Rose is a destination for politicians, ministers and senior officials in Somalia, and several ministers who were at the hotel were reportedly rescued during the attack.
