More than half of flights canceled at Brussels Airport due to strike
Brussels airport preventively cancels more than half of its flights because of the national strike on 9 November.
Due to the national strike scheduled for Wednesday, the airlines have preventively canceled 55% of the flights scheduled to arrive or depart from Brussels Airport, said airport spokeswoman Nathalie Pierard on Monday afternoon. In total, just over 200 flights are affected. A few days earlier, the airport had announced 40% of flights canceled preventively.
At this time, it is not known how many passengers will be affected by these cancellations, the airport said. But as an indication, in September, a flight had an average of 130 passengers.
The passengers concerned will be contacted by their airlines. Passenger can also contact their airlines or ticket providers for further and updated information.
