"Museum Prescription" for your health starts in Belgium

Alderman for Culture, Tourism and Major Events in the City of Brussels, Mrs. Delphine Houba recently announced that medical doctors now can advice you to go to a museum for your treatment.

The museum prescription pilot project is officially launched and from today, the psychiatrists of the CHU Brugmann Hospital will be able to prescribe to their patients a free visit to a museum of the City of Brussels. This is possible in Belgium for the first time.

The pilot project will take place for a period of six months (between 6 September 2022 to 5 March 2023), and will allow medical doctors to prescribe up to five visits per patient, meaning they can visit all museums in the Brussels City commune. The ticket costs will be covered by the City of Brussels.
