New rail strike planned for 29 November in Belgium

The common front union of railway workers has filed a strike notice for November 29, announced Tuesday morning. The three unions disapprove of the "insufficient investment" defined by the federal government during the last budget conclave. "These decisions do not allow the ambitions in favor of the development and sustainability of rail to be fully realized, in particular in the context of the conclusion of service and performance contracts for SNCB and Infrabel", they denounce.

The common front also wishes "to recall its demands for the implementation of urgent measures to put an end to the persistent deterioration of the working conditions of railway workers, mainly due to lack of staff".

The notice covers railway workers from Monday 28 at 10 p.m. to Tuesday 29 at the same time.
