Nine NATO members support Ukraine's membership demand
Nine central and eastern European NATO members said on Sunday that they support Kyiv's NATO membership process, following the request made on Friday.
In a joint statement, the presidents of Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro and North Macedonia said they "strongly support" the decision taken by NATO at the Bucharest summit in 2008 regarding Ukraine's prospects for membership in the alliance.
