Ryanair leaves Brussels Zaventem airport
The Irish low-cost airline Ryanair will close its base at Brussels Airport next winter season.
CEO Michael O'Leary announced this during a special works council in Brussels. According to him, the closure is currently permanent.
"We will only return when the flight tax disappears," he says.
The Ryanair operations base in Charleroi Airport will remain open.
According to Brussels Airport, the consequences for passengers will be limited.
