Small plane hangs on power line, thousands stay without power

In the US state of Maryland, it was reported that thousands of people were without electricity after the small plane crashed into a high voltage line.

Pete Piringer, a Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service officer, said the small plane hovered 30 meters after it crashed into a high-voltage line in the state city of Gaithersburg.

Piringer stated that three people on the plane were contacted and their condition was good.

Sharing the information that there was a large-scale power cut, including traffic lights, in the region due to the accident, Piringer said that approximately 88 thousand people were left without electricity.

Piringer reported that the roads close to the area where the accident took place were also closed.
