Turkey: Start of serial production of the TOGG electric car
A 100% Turkish brand will take its place in the global market for semi-autonomous connected electric cars.
Preparations for the launch of TOGG, one of Turkey's important projects, have been completed at the Gemlik campus, where serial production officially launched yesterday, on the "Turkish Republic Day".
The TOGG Gemlik campus was completed in a record time of approximately 2 years. Many people came to witness this historic day.
The official opening of the campus took place at 6:00 p.m. during a ceremony in the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and a large number of local and foreign guests.
At the end of the inauguration, the mass production of the smart electric car TOGG officially launched, and a first car came off the assembly lines.
TOGG will be available in 5 segments, but the first vehicles manufactured will be SUVs offered with 6 different colors specific to Türkiye, "Anatolia", "Gemlik", "Oltu", "Kula", "Cappadocia" and "Pamukkale".
