Turkey to send millions of flowers for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II

The demand for flowers from Antalya and Isparta in Turkey to be used in the mourning and funeral program of Queen Elizabeth II increased by 90%. Carnation flowers shipment has already been started, which will find at least 1.5 million branches in total for the royal funeral. With regard to shipments, flower companies turned to faster air cargo options instead of trucks, placing the UK in the first place in exports.

Daily working hours in Turkey were increased by 2 hours and the number of workers was increased by 50%. Flower producers will also work on Sundays, between September 11 and 18 to meet the demand from the UK.
