Youth First Event in European Parliament

Youth first event under the theme "employment, skills and social policies that work for young Europeans in times of uncertainty" will be organized under the auspices of Dragos Pislaru, the chair of the European Parliament Employment Committee. The event will take place in Brussels, European Parliament/Spinelli 1E2 building on 8 September 2022.


The five EU agencies (EU-OSHA, Cedefop, Eurofound, ELA and ETF) together with the European Parliament Employment Committee gather to support EU institutions, Member States and other stakeholders in addressing policy challenges and capitalising on practices that work across Member States in times of disruption and transition.

Contributing to the EU Year of Youth, the agency directors together with MEPs and other experts discuss youth policies, opportunities and challenges related to employment, working conditions, wellbeing and mental health and the impact of COVID-19 on young people.



EU-OSHA Interim Executive Director William Cockburn takes part in a discussion panel about young workers' wellbeing, mental health and work engagement.


The event is hosted by Dragos Pislaru, chair of the European Parliament Employment Committee. The event is by invitation only and will be live web streamed.
